how to get special characters (heart, smileys, stars) application for my blackberry pearl 1800?

are there any applications for my blackberry pearl so i can get special characters when i txt or just to have?? like to put a heart insted of <3?? ILL DO ANYTHING FOR AN ANSWER

    Type letter shown below symbol or click on the symbol with the Trackball

    You can get the little symbols in Blackberry IM messenger. They’re under the symbols key…you have to scroll all the way down to find them.
